Do you have a morning routine? If so, what does it look like?
I usually start my day early (around 6:30am) and take my dog, Alfie, for a run around. Living in London means this usually happens in the rain, but getting outside first thing has a fundamentally positive impact on the rest of my day.
What’s your go-to breakfast to keep you energised for the day ahead?
When I’m in New York visiting Sephora and our US team, it’s always a bagel and a flat white. Prioritising lots of protein to keep me satiated and energised until lunch.
Tell us, as a busy CEO - are there any apps/tech you swear by that help you manage your day?
The ‘Notes’ app on my phone is a life saver and recent discovery for me. I so often find myself remembering important things or coming up with ideas on the move, so I quickly write it down in my notes app which also automatically updates on my laptop. As a business, we're a team of calendar blocks, making sure we have time blocked in for focus time - I’m a firm believer that you can’t do two things at once and we all need brain space for deep work.
Do you have any top tips for balancing work and a social life?
I love my work, building the Luna Daily brand and mission is something I have been dreaming up since I was 19 (born from a frustration with the shame and embarrassment we’ve been fed by the feminine hygiene industry). So, I have to admit, I work a lot! But I also prioritise quality time with my best girl friends and fiancé - and ensure I am present and enjoying every minute with them too.
What excites you the most about your work?
Our mission: to connect women of all ages and stages to each other and to their entire bodies. We develop clinically tested and world-first body care products with dermatologists, gynaecologists and medical experts so that women, and people with vulvas, can feel comfortable and confident in their skin.Do you have any advice for staying motivated?
For me, motivation is intrinsic to our mission. Also, I am motivated by my team. One of our key Luna Daily values is being ‘inviting’ - meaning as a team and a business we invite new ideas, new ways of thinking and processes. It creates such a collaborative and inspiring work atmosphere to be a part of.
What does self-care mean to you?
For me, self-care is making sure your cup is always filled, so you can help fill other peoples. Our whole team undertook the Mental Health First Aider Training by MHFA England last year and this was my biggest takeaway.
Finally, what’s in your La Pochette?
Naturally, my Spray to Wipe (our full body cleanser you can take with you anywhere for an immediate skin refresh), powered by thermal water, prebiotics and vitamins. No time to shower post-yoga class? No problem.
