This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.lapochette.co (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you make a purchase (or attempt to make a purchase), enter a competition or join our mailing list through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, Paypal – though note we not store this information), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.
We may hold additional personal information, always with prior consent, for certain individuals, for example our La Pochette Ambassadors and blog authors.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfil any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).
Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you regarding your order;
Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud;
Pass to our 3rdparty payment provider Shopify; and
If you have elected to accept marketing, provide you with information relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our site and marketing (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with a small number of third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.

We may share information with Data Cooperatives such as Experian. Data co-operatives work by members sharing information on what their customers buy. The co-operatives analyse this pooled information to understand consumer’s wider buying patterns. From this information, members can tailor their communications and send consumers suitable offers that should be of interest to them, based on what they like to buy.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
CONSENT
We will always ask your consent for collecting information about you. We never use pre-ticked consent boxes.
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we request consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. We ask that consent every time you order by asking you to tick a box titled “I agree to the terms and conditions”.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will always ask you directly for your consent. Currently we do this in four ways. (1) Through our website at check-out, where we offer you the chance to accept marketing through a tick box at the final checkout screen; (2) Through our “Sign Up To Our Newsletter” boxes and pop-ups in various website locations such as our homepage and our journal; (3) Through our Rewards and Referrals programme and (4) Through ad-hoc forms – for example an application form to become an La Pochette Ambassador
How do I withdraw my consent?

BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements we believe may be of interest to you. In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options, we will pass to Klarna certain aspects of your personal information, such as contact and order details, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you.

DO NOT TRACK
Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a European resident your rights are now covered by GDPR, effective 25 May 2018. You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us by email at hello@lapochette.co or through the additional contact information in section 10 below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada, where Shopify is based, and the United States.
DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information. The same retention policy applies to your Rewards and Referrals data and your email sign up data.
Survey data and ambassador application data is retained for up to 18 months.
CHILDREN
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16.
